In this viral video, a woman with her small child in her lap is seen constantly requesting another woman to vacate the seat. It is being said that the woman was asking for a seat for the elderly person accompanying her, but the other woman was not ready to leave the seat. The woman cited government rules several times and also warned of complaining to the helpline, but still the situation did not improve. In the end, the quarrel escalated so much that the first woman herself got off the metro.

This video went viral as soon as it was shared on an Instagram page, @gharkekalesh. Lakhs of people have seen it, and thousands of people have liked it. Users gave their opinions in the comment section of the video. A user demanded that DMRC make strict rules so that such incidents do not happen in the future. At the same time, some people called it an unnecessary fight and said that such a quarrel in public places is shameful. Some stressed the need to improve social behavior.
Fights over seats in crowded places like the Delhi Metro are not new. Especially during peak hours when the metro is completely full, the struggle to get a seat increases among the passengers. Despite the rules to give priority to the elderly, women, and disabled, many times people do not respect them, due to which disputes increase.
